It makes my heart dance to support those who are facing life changes to confidently design their vision of and thrive in the next chapter and beyond. To help them take a step back from the fast pace of life, identify what is no longer serving them, and embrace their highest selves. To encourage accepting their humanity and all the ups and downs, flaws and flawlessness, mistakes and meaningfulness that make life a gift full of opportunities to grow and be grateful. To watch them choose to live life on purpose, not perfect. This is what living Your Excellent Life means to me, but you are free to choose your own definition!
Through first-hand experience as a client, I can say with passionate truth coaching helped reveal the higher version of myself that was hidden behind layers of fear, doubt, insecurity, and anxiety. My journey went from playing small to making big leaps of faith, believing I can’t to believing and proving I can, envisioning and living my excellent life, and so much more. Many years before I enrolled in coaching were spent reading about personal development without applying it; living in the fascination of it. It felt natural to be interested in those topics; they gave me hope during some low points in life. It was only through commitment to doing the work during and between coaching sessions that I started to grow into my authenticity and live my truth with confidence. Once you start living that way outwardly, the environment around you shifts. Yes, some big, outward-facing things happened to me such as getting promotions at work, improving professional and personal relationships, and courageously jumping into coach training with iPEC, an ICF accredited coaching program, while I had a demanding full-time corporate job. Honestly, the nuances that only I could sense are what made the biggest impact on how I showed up in my life - overall improvement in my attitude and outlook, genuine happiness within, willingness to be more vulnerable and real, feeling empowered to make choices, taking chances without knowing or depending on the outcome, and having faith that all will be well no matter what happens.
I've since left that career after 21 years to focus on actively living and developing My Excellent Life. Being a coach is a huge part of this because it allows me to be of service and impact the world positively, one client at a time (supporting my values of connection and service). This coaching business enables me to make a living by being a creative entrepreneur who designs work that works for me and my clients (supporting my values of creativity, freedom, and inner harmony). All of this drives me to continually improve my own skills to ensure my clients receive the highest quality service. When we partner on coaching, I believe the awareness and growth that each of us gain is all for the greater good.
